NFL Preview- AFC South

This new division is evolving...Gone are the days of complete Colt dominance. Keep an eye on those pesky Jaguars! Here are the picks...
  • Colts- I was tempted to put the Jags here but I think barring injury, the Colts are still the team to beat. If Marvin Harrison and Dwight Freeney can return to form after last season's injuries, the Colts should be a strong Super Bowl contender. Joseph Addai and Reggie Wayne proved they were the real deal last year, so this team is loaded like usual.
  • Jaguars- They are on the cusp, can they get over? Awesome running tandem with Maurice Jones-Drew and a resurgent Fred Taylor. David Garrard does nothing but impress me. Now if they could only find a go-to guy at wideout. The defense is lights out as usual. This team is big, physical and they will beat you up! I saw them in Denver last year and not only did they beat the Broncos, they beat them up.
  • Texans- I'm putting them ahead of the Titans provided they can stay healthy this year. The Matt Schaub/Andre Johnson combo was lethal until they got hurt. Mario Williams is proving to be a pretty good pick at DE. Young, up and coming team.
  • Titans- Will somebody please get some receivers for VY to throw to? No playmakers on the outside...they did make a great pick up in Alge Crumpler at TE. Running game should be strong as usual. I keep hearing about this Chris Johnson...don't know much about him. Keith Bulluck is the best LB no one's heard of.
