Good news for the Vols!

The NCAA has cleared Brandon Warren to play this season as a Tight End for the Vols. He is a transfer from Florida St. who played quite a bit as a true freshman at FSU. He missed last year due to transferring. He is from Alcoa and wanted to transfer to Tennessee to be closer to his mother who was diagnosed with cancer. He is one of those hybrid type Tight Ends (think Kellen Winslow, Jr. or Shannon Sharpe). He's too quick for linebackers and too big and strong for DB's. Fulmer also mentioned that he would like to get him in on some pass rushing situations on defense as well. I'm not quite sure how to read that...is he that great of an athlete? Or do the Vols not have squat at defensive end? I'm suspicious of the latter. This also comes at a good time as another of the Vols TE's, Jeff Cottam, is out for 6-8 weeks for back surgery.
